A maker for the classic demotivational poster (and the straight motivational poster it parodies) — a photo in a thin frame on a black background, with a big heading underneath and a small caption below that — built to run entirely in your browser. Drop in a photo (or paste / pick one), type the big heading word ("SUCCESS", "TEAMWORK", anything) and the smaller caption line beneath it (the punchline, the jab, or a genuine quote). The image is auto-cropped (cover) to sit neatly inside the frame, and the heading is set in uppercase for the classic look (you can turn that off). Choose the output size — 1200×900 (4:3, the classic poster ratio), 1920×1080 (16:9), 1080×1080 (square, for social) or 1080×1350 (4:5, portrait) — and pick a serif (Times-style classic) or sans font. Background, frame, heading and caption colors are each adjustable, so you can keep the standard black-on-white-frame or flip to a light white-background look. You can also skip the photo entirely and make a text-only poster. When it looks right, press Save PNG and you get an image ready to post, print, drop into a slide or share as a meme. Your photo and text are never sent to a server — everything is processed inside your browser (only settings like size, font and colors are stored on your device for next time and can be cleared with Reset).
How to use
- Drop, paste or pick a photo (optional — text-only works too).
- Type the big heading and the small caption beneath it.
- Set the size, font and colors, then press Save PNG.
FAQ
What is a demotivational poster?
It's the familiar parody format: a photo in a thin frame on a black background, with a big heading underneath and a small caption below it. It started as a spoof of the "motivational" posters hung in offices, usually with an ironic or joke punchline. Because you can change the heading, frame and colors here, you can also make a straight, sincere motivational poster.
Do I need a photo, or can it be text only?
The photo is optional. If you add one it's auto-cropped to fit neatly inside the black frame. You can also leave the photo out and export a text-only poster with just the heading and caption.
Can I change the size and colors?
Yes. Output size can be 1200×900 (4:3), 1920×1080 (16:9), 1080×1080 (square) or 1080×1350 (portrait); the font can be serif or sans; and the background, frame, heading and caption colors are each adjustable — so you can keep the classic black-on-white-frame or switch to a light white-background look.
Is my photo or text uploaded?
No. Your photo and text are never sent to a server — everything is processed inside your browser, and the exported PNG is saved only to your device. Only settings like size, font and colors are stored locally for next time and can be cleared with Reset.
