A maker for the header image shown across the top of your X (formerly Twitter) profile. The output is fixed to the recommended size of 1500×500px (3:1); turn on high-res ×2 to export at 3000×1000px for a crisper look. The background can be a gradient (two colors plus an angle), a solid color, or an image (a photo you add, fitted to cover the whole header). Over it you can place a title and an optional smaller tagline line (your bio, @handle or a catchphrase), and set the text position (top, center, bottom), alignment (left, center, right), font (heavy, sans or serif), colors (color 1, color 2, text) and the gradient angle. With an image background you can lay a soft shaded band behind the text for readability. The key feature is the safe-area guide: it marks the approximate position of the round profile avatar that overlaps the bottom-left of the header, plus the area that can get cropped on different devices, with dashed lines (and when text is left-aligned the left padding widens automatically so the text clears the avatar). The guide is an on-screen aid only and is never included in the exported PNG. When you are done, press Save PNG and upload it as your header from X's profile editor. Your image and text are never sent to a server — everything runs in your browser (only settings like background, position and colors are stored on your device for next time and can be cleared with Reset).
How to use
- Pick a background (gradient / solid / image) and turn on high-res ×2 if you want.
- Type a title and a tagline, then set position, alignment, font and colors.
- Check the avatar / crop with the safe-area guide and press Save PNG (the guide is not saved).
FAQ
What size is a Twitter / X header?
The recommended size is 1500×500px (3:1). This tool fixes the output to that exact size. Turn on high-res ×2 to export at 3000×1000px for a sharper result on screen.
Where does the profile picture cover the header?
The round profile avatar overlaps the bottom-left of the header. Turn on Show safe-area guide to see that overlap and the area that can get cropped on different devices, drawn with dashed lines. When text is left-aligned the left padding widens automatically so the text clears the avatar. The guide is an on-screen aid only and is never included in the exported PNG.
Can I use my own image as the background?
Yes. Use Add background image (drop or paste also works) to switch the background to image mode, and the picture fits (cover) to fill the whole header. If the text is hard to read, turn on the option to lay a soft shaded band behind it.
Is my image or text uploaded?
No. Your background image, title and tagline are never sent to a server — everything is processed inside your browser, and the exported PNG is saved only to your device. Only settings like background, position and colors are stored locally for next time and can be cleared with Reset.
