A maker for your Discord profile picture (avatar / pfp). Discord uploads avatars as a square and crops them to a circle on display, so the output is fixed to the recommended size of 512×512px (you can also pick a minimum 128×128px). The background can be a gradient (two colors plus an angle), a solid color, or an image (a photo you add, fitted to cover the square). When you are not using a photo, you can place large centered initials or short text (up to four characters). You can set the font (heavy, sans or serif), colors (color 1, color 2, text, ring) and the gradient angle, and add a circular ring around the avatar. The key feature is the circle-crop guide: it overlays the boundary of the circle Discord crops to, plus the position of the online status dot that overlaps the bottom-right, with dashed lines — so you can see what falls in the corners that get cut and what the status badge covers before exporting. The guide is an on-screen aid only and is never included in the exported PNG. The export shape can be square (Discord crops it — recommended) or circle (with transparent corners). When you are done, press Save PNG and upload it as your avatar from Discord's user settings. Your image and text are never sent to a server — everything runs in your browser (only settings like background, shape and colors are stored on your device for next time and can be cleared with Reset).

How to use

  1. Pick a size (512 recommended) and a background (gradient / solid / add a photo).
  2. Add initials or a photo, then set the font, colors, ring and gradient angle.
  3. Check the crop and status-dot overlap with the circle-crop guide and press Save PNG (the guide is not saved).

FAQ

What size is a Discord avatar (pfp)?

The recommended size is a 512×512px square (minimum 128×128px). This tool fixes the output to that exact size. Discord crops the uploaded square to a circle on display, so the corners are not shown.

Can I see what gets cut off by the circle crop?

Yes. Turn on Show circle-crop guide to overlay the boundary of the circle Discord crops to, plus the position of the online status dot that overlaps the bottom-right, drawn with dashed lines. You can check what falls in the corners that get cut and what the status badge covers. The guide is an on-screen aid only and is never included in the exported PNG.

Can I make a text-only avatar without a photo?

Yes. Use a gradient or solid background and type initials or short text (up to four characters) to place them large and centered. Set the font, text color and ring for a simple photo-free avatar. To use a photo instead, add it with Add photo (drop or paste also works).

Is my image or text uploaded?

No. Your photo and initials are never sent to a server — everything is processed inside your browser, and the exported PNG is saved only to your device. Only settings like background, shape and colors are stored locally for next time and can be cleared with Reset.
