Make a transparent webcam frame / facecam border to overlay on your camera in OBS. The middle stays clear so your camera shows through. Pick a shape (16:9 / 4:3 / 1:1 / 9:16 / circle), a line style, thickness, rounded corners and color (or gradient), and optionally add a name tag. Exports a transparent PNG. Nothing is uploaded.

The exported PNG is the size of a typical camera region (e.g. 1920×1080 for 16:9). In OBS, add it as an Image source and place it on top of your camera, then fit both to the same box. The center is transparent, so only the border is drawn. Type your own name — it is just a placeholder.

Make a webcam frame — a border to put around your camera (facecam) — for YouTube Live, Twitch, and VTuber streams, entirely in your browser on a PC or phone. The export is a transparent PNG, so in OBS Studio or Streamlabs you add it as an Image source on top of your Video Capture (camera) source and fit it to the same box; a clean border then surrounds your camera with the middle left clear. Choose a shape: widescreen 16:9 (1920×1080), 4:3 (1440×1080), square 1:1 (1080×1080), vertical 9:16 (1080×1920), or a circle (ring) — the circle is handy for a round bubble / waiting-cam look. The line style can be solid, double, or dashed, and you can adjust thickness, corner radius (for rectangles), and the inset with sliders. The color can be a single color or a two-color gradient. Turn on the name tag to add a rounded label (your handle) in the lower-left, with its own background and text color. The preview sits on a checkerboard so you can see exactly which parts are transparent (where the camera shows through). When you're done, Download PNG saves the transparent image — in OBS, add it via Sources → Image and line it up with your camera. This makes a still frame (the border itself does not move); for an animated look, add motion with an OBS filter. The name starts as a placeholder — replace it with your own. Choosing the shape, adjusting the lines and colors, adding the name, and saving all happen inside your browser (canvas); the text you type and your settings are never uploaded, stored, or sent to a server.

How to use

  1. Pick a shape (16:9 / 4:3 / 1:1 / 9:16 / circle) and a line style (solid / double / dashed), then set the thickness, corner radius, and color or gradient.
  2. Optionally turn on the name tag, type your handle, and choose the tag's background and text color — the center stays transparent so your camera shows through.
  3. Click Download PNG for the transparent frame, then add it as an Image source in OBS and line it up over your camera at the same size. Nothing is uploaded.

FAQ

Is the text I type or my settings sent to a server?

No. Choosing the shape, adjusting the lines and colors, adding a name, and saving the PNG all run entirely inside your browser (canvas). Your typed text and settings are never uploaded, stored, or sent to a server.

How do I use this in OBS?

Add your camera (Video Capture Device) source first, then add the exported PNG on top via Sources → Add → Image. Line the frame and camera up to the same position and size, and the border will sit around your camera. The center is transparent, so the camera image stays fully visible.

Can I make a round (circle) webcam frame?

Yes. Choose the Circle shape to get a ring-shaped border, which is ideal for a round bubble-cam / facecam. The corner radius setting is not used for the circle shape.

What size should I use?

Each shape exports at a typical camera resolution (e.g. 1920×1080 for 16:9, 1080×1080 for 1:1). In OBS you just fit the frame and camera to the same box, so a different resolution is fine.

Can I make the frame animated?

This tool makes a still transparent PNG frame. For a glowing or moving border, add motion to the exported PNG with an OBS filter (for example color correction or a scroll filter).
