Add a text watermark to an image in your browser. Type your text — a signature, copyright notice, social handle, or a label like "SAMPLE" or "DO NOT REPRINT" — and set its position (9 anchors), opacity, size, and color. You can also tile the text diagonally across the whole image, which is harder to remove by cropping. It's useful for protecting illustrations, photos, and work-in-progress samples from unauthorized reposting, marking portfolio or proof images as "SAMPLE," and labeling previews before delivery. Adjust opacity and size while watching the live preview; the result saves as a PNG (transparency preserved). Nothing is uploaded — every step happens locally on your device (Canvas).
How to use
- Drop an image in, click to choose a file, or paste an image (Ctrl/Cmd + V).
- Type your watermark text and adjust the position (9 anchors), opacity, size, and color. Turn on "Tile" to repeat it across the whole image. The preview updates live.
- Click Download PNG to save the watermarked image. The original is never sent anywhere.
FAQ
Are my images uploaded to a server?
No. The watermark is composited entirely in your browser using the Canvas API. Your image is never uploaded, stored, or sent anywhere — it is processed only on your device.
Can I watermark the whole image?
Yes. Turn on "Tile" to repeat the text diagonally across the entire image. A single corner watermark can be cropped out, so tiling is the better choice when you want to deter unauthorized reposting.
Can I change how strong or large the watermark is?
Opacity, size, and color are all adjustable with sliders. Use the live preview to go from a faint watermark that keeps the image visible to a bold, prominent one — whatever the use case needs.
Can I add a logo (image watermark)?
Currently it supports text watermarks. It's built for adding a copyright notice (©), a handle, or a URL as text. Compositing an image logo is not supported.
What format does it save as? Can I save as JPG?
The watermarked image is saved as a PNG (transparency preserved). If you need a JPG, save it and then use the Compress or Convert tool to turn the PNG into a JPG.
Does it work on phones?
Yes. It runs entirely in the browser, so you can load an image, add a watermark, and save it on a phone or tablet.
