Tap Start and allow microphone access

Record your voice or instrument straight from the browser — no app, no sign-up. Tap Start and allow the microphone, watch the level meter and timer, then Stop to get an instant preview you can play back. Download as WAV (lossless) or MP3. Turn on Raw mic to disable the browser's noise suppression, echo cancellation and auto-gain — better for singing practice and recording music. Everything is captured and encoded inside your browser; nothing is uploaded, stored or sent anywhere.

A free online voice recorder that works entirely in your browser — no app to install and no sign-up. Hit Start, allow the microphone, and record straight away. While recording you get a live level meter and a timer, and when you Stop you can play the take back instantly in the built-in player. Save it as WAV (lossless) or MP3 (128–320 kbps). Turn on Raw mic to disable the browser's automatic noise suppression, echo cancellation and auto-gain — better when you want the unprocessed sound, such as singing practice or recording an instrument (leave it off for meetings or voice memos, where noise suppression helps). Recording and encoding all happen inside your browser; your audio is never uploaded, stored or sent to a server. Great for singing practice takes, voice memos, checking your pronunciation or diction, quick instrument ideas, and testing your microphone. No install, no sign-up, free to use.

How to use

  1. Tap "Start recording" and choose Allow when the browser asks for microphone access.
  2. Watch the level meter and timer while you record, then press "Stop" when you're done.
  3. Play it back to check, pick the output format (WAV / MP3) and click "Download" to save.

FAQ

Is my recording uploaded?

No. Both the microphone capture and the encoding (to WAV or MP3) happen entirely in your browser — nothing is uploaded, stored or sent to a server. It runs fully on your device.

Can I use it for singing practice or recording an instrument?

Yes. Turn on "Raw mic" to disable the browser's automatic noise suppression, echo cancellation and auto-gain, so you capture the unprocessed sound — ideal for singing or instruments. Leave it off for meetings or voice memos, where noise suppression is helpful.

What formats can I save?

You can save as WAV (lossless) or MP3 (choose 128 / 192 / 256 / 320 kbps). Recording uses the browser's built-in capture and is re-encoded to your chosen format on download.

What if the microphone doesn't work?

Make sure microphone access is set to Allow — check the permission icon next to the address bar. Note that browser microphone access only works over a secure (https) connection. If another app is using the mic, close it and try again.

Is there a time limit on recordings?

There's no fixed limit because there's no server, but long recordings use more of your device's memory. For very long takes, consider splitting them into shorter recordings.
