Your audio is decoded, trimmed and encoded entirely in your browser — nothing is uploaded. WAV is lossless; MP3 is re-encoded with LAME. Input: MP3, WAV, OGG, M4A and more (whatever your browser can decode).

An audio trimmer and MP3 cutter that lets you cut a clip out of an audio file. Drag and drop or choose an MP3, WAV, OGG, M4A or other file (whatever your browser can decode) to see its waveform, then drag the start and end sliders to set the part you want. Preview the selection by playing it, and when it's right, export it as WAV (lossless) or MP3 (re-encoded with LAME, with a bitrate you choose). Use it to make ringtones and alarm sounds, cut the silence or filler out of a podcast or recording, grab a sound effect or a bit of voice, or prep clips for streams and videos. WAV keeps the original audio exactly, so it's lossless; MP3 lets you pick 128–320 kbps for a smaller file. Stereo/mono and the original sample rate are preserved. Decoding, trimming and encoding all happen entirely in your browser — the file is never uploaded, stored or sent to a server. No install, no sign-up, free to use.

How to use

  1. Drop an audio file (MP3 / WAV / OGG / M4A and more) or use "choose a file" to load it.
  2. Drag the start and end sliders on the waveform to set the clip, then "Play selection" to check it.
  3. Pick the output format (WAV / MP3) and click "Download clip" to save just that part.

FAQ

Is my audio file uploaded?

No. The audio you load is decoded, trimmed and encoded inside your browser — it is never uploaded, stored or sent to a server. Everything runs locally.

Which formats can I load, and what can I export?

Input can be MP3, WAV, OGG, M4A and more — whatever your browser can decode. Output can be WAV (lossless) or MP3 (choose 128–320 kbps).

Does trimming lose quality?

Exporting as WAV is lossless — it cuts the original audio as-is. MP3 is a compressed format, so it is re-encoded, but a higher bitrate (256–320 kbps) keeps quality loss minimal.

Can I make a ringtone or alarm sound?

Yes. You can cut out a favorite part of a song into a short clip, which is perfect for ringtones, notification sounds and alarms. Adjust the length to the second while watching the waveform.

Can I join several audio files together?

This tool is for cutting a clip out of a single file. It doesn't join files, but it's ideal for trimming out unwanted parts or extracting the section you need.
