A free online tool to blur faces or censor parts of a video without installing an editor — and without uploading your footage anywhere. There are two ways to use it. First, turn on face auto-blur: when exporting, faces are detected on every single frame and covered automatically (passers-by, kids, anyone caught in the shot). Second, drag on the preview to add rectangles over anything else you want hidden — a license plate, a name tag, part of a screen (applied for the whole video). Choose between mosaic (pixelate), blur and black-out, adjust the strength, and see the real effect previewed on the paused frame. The result is exported as MP4 (or WebM in browsers without H.264 encoding), with the original audio carried over. The key difference from typical online video editors: everything — decoding, face detection, censoring, encoding — happens locally in your browser via WebCodecs. Nothing is uploaded, stored or sent to a server, which matters precisely when a video needs censoring. No file-size paywalls, no watermarks, no account. Processing time scales with video length and resolution, so short clips of up to a few minutes are recommended.

FAQ
Is my video uploaded?
No. Loading, face detection, censoring and encoding all happen entirely in your browser on your device — nothing is sent to or stored on a server. That's exactly what you want for footage that needs blurring in the first place. Leaving the page discards any in-progress data.
How does face auto-blur work?
During export, faces are detected on every frame (MediaPipe) and covered with a slightly enlarged box. If detection drops out for a frame or two, the last known position is held briefly so faces don't flash through. Profiles or very small faces can be missed — check the result and cover any gaps with a manual rectangle.
Can it track moving objects other than faces?
Only faces are tracked automatically. Manual rectangles stay in the same place for the whole video, so for a moving subject (other than a face), draw a rectangle generously covering the area it passes through.
Can it remove a mosaic from a video?
No. This tool only applies mosaic, blur or black-out. Pixelation destroys the original information, so restoring the original footage from a censored video is fundamentally not possible.
Which formats are supported, and how long can the video be?
Input: common formats your browser can read — MP4, WebM, MOV and more. Output: MP4 (WebM in browsers without H.264 encoding). Every frame is processed individually, so time scales with length and resolution; clips up to a few minutes are recommended. Trimming a long video down to the part you need first makes it much faster.
What happens to the audio?
The original audio is carried over (copied without re-encoding when possible). If your browser can't carry the audio track, the tool tells you and exports video-only.
