A generator for upside-down (flipped) text. It replaces each letter, digit, and symbol you type with a Unicode character that looks like the 180°-rotated version (for example a→ɐ, e→ǝ, 6→9), so your whole message appears turned upside down. Type into the box and the result updates instantly; hit Copy to put it on your clipboard and paste it anywhere that renders Unicode — X (Twitter), Discord, Instagram bios and comments, and more. Turn on Reverse order to also flip the character order and the line order, so the text reads correctly when you physically rotate your phone or monitor upside down; turn it off to keep the original order and just flip each glyph in place. Multi-line input is supported. Note that rotated forms exist mainly for the Latin alphabet, digits, and some punctuation — characters without an upside-down counterpart are left as-is, and some destinations' fonts may show a flipped character as a box (□). Importantly, the text you enter is never uploaded, stored, or sent to a server — all processing happens with JavaScript entirely inside your browser.
How to use
- Type or paste text into the box (e.g. hello world).
- Toggle Reverse order for reads-when-flipped vs. keep-original-order.
- Click Copy to copy it to your clipboard, then paste into social media or Discord. Your input is never sent.
FAQ
How is upside-down text made?
Each letter, digit, and symbol you type is swapped for a Unicode character that looks like its 180°-rotated form (for example a→ɐ, e→ǝ, 6→9). It is plain text, not a font or image, so you can copy and paste it anywhere.
What does Reverse order do?
When on, it also reverses the character order and the line order, so the message reads correctly when you physically rotate your phone or monitor upside down. When off, it keeps the original order and just flips each glyph in place.
Can it flip non-Latin characters like CJK or accented letters?
Rotated forms exist mainly for the Latin alphabet, digits, and some punctuation. Characters without an upside-down counterpart are left unchanged. Some fonts at the destination may also render a flipped character as a box (□).
Is the text I enter uploaded?
No. The conversion runs entirely in your browser with JavaScript. The text you enter is never uploaded, stored, or sent to a server.
