Line style
Crossed-out text

A generator that puts a line through your text. It inserts a Unicode combining mark (such as U+0336, which overlays the character before it) after each character you type, producing s̶t̶r̶i̶k̶e̶ — a real strikethrough made of plain text rather than an image or special font. Because it is just text, you can hit Copy and paste it anywhere Unicode is rendered, including places that have no bold/strikethrough button: Discord usernames and messages, X (Twitter), Instagram bios and comments, forums, and more. Pick the line style — Strike (a line through the middle), Slash (a diagonal line across each glyph), Wavy (a tilde-style line), or Underline (a line below the text). Spaces are crossed out too, so the line stays continuous between words; line breaks are left alone so multi-line text doesn't get mangled. It works on letters, digits, punctuation, CJK, and emoji. Note that some destination fonts may shift the overlay slightly, and a few apps that don't support combining marks may not show the line. Importantly, the text you enter is never uploaded, stored, or sent to a server — all processing happens with JavaScript entirely inside your browser.

How to use

  1. Type or paste text into the box (e.g. strikethrough text).
  2. Pick a line style: Strike, Slash, Wavy, or Underline.
  3. Click Copy to copy it to your clipboard, then paste into Discord or social media. Your input is never sent.

FAQ

How is strikethrough text made?

Each character you type is followed by a Unicode combining mark (for a strikethrough, U+0336) that renders on top of the character before it. It is plain text, not an image or a special font, so you can copy and paste it anywhere.

Does it work in Discord or comment boxes?

Yes. It is plain text with combining marks, so it works in places that have no bold/strikethrough button — Discord usernames and messages, X (Twitter), Instagram bios and comments, and more. Some destination fonts may shift the line slightly.

Can I choose the line style?

Yes. Choose Strike (a line through the middle), Slash (a diagonal line), Wavy (a tilde-style line), or Underline (a line below). Spaces are crossed out too, so the line stays continuous between words.

Is the text I enter uploaded?

No. The conversion runs entirely in your browser with JavaScript. The text you enter is never uploaded, stored, or sent to a server.
