Add a manga / comic speech bubble to an image, then save a PNG. Type your line, pick a shape (speech oval, rectangle, thought cloud or shout burst) and a tail direction, and drag the bubble on the image to position it. The text wraps and centres inside the bubble. Everything runs in your browser — neither the image nor the text is uploaded.

Add a manga / comic speech bubble to an image and save it as a PNG — entirely in your browser. Whether you want to put a line of dialogue on a screenshot, an illustration or a photo, you can do it without installing a heavy image editor or a phone app. It is simple: load an image, type your line, and choose a shape and a tail direction. You can drag the bubble around on the image, so it's easy to line it up with a character's mouth or any spot you like. Pick from four shapes — speech (oval), rectangle, thought (cloud), or shout (jagged burst) — and a tail pointing down, down-left, down-right, up, left, right, or none. The text wraps automatically to the width of the bubble and is centred inside it. You can also adjust the bubble width, text size, outline (stroke) width, fill colour, outline colour and text colour. The preview is scaled to fit your screen, but the saved PNG is exported at the original pixel size. Load images by dropping, clicking to choose, or pasting from the clipboard. All processing happens in your browser — neither the image nor the text you type is ever sent to any server or API, so it's safe to use even where uploading files is not allowed.

How to use

  1. Load an image by dropping, choosing, or pasting it (nothing is uploaded).
  2. Type your line, then choose a shape (oval, rectangle, cloud or burst) and tail direction.
  3. Drag the bubble to position it and save as a PNG (exported at the original pixel size).

FAQ

Are my image or the text I type uploaded anywhere?

No. Loading the image, compositing the bubble, and PNG export all happen inside your browser. Neither the image nor the text you type is ever sent to any server or API — it all stays on your device, so it's safe to use even in workplaces that block cloud editing tools.

How do I position the bubble?

Just drag the bubble around on the loaded image to move it where you want — for example onto a character's mouth. You can also set the tail (the pointer) to point down, down-left, down-right, up, left, right, or turn it off.

What kinds of bubbles can I make?

Four shapes: a speech oval, a rounded rectangle, a thought cloud, and a jagged shout / burst for emphasis. You can adjust the fill, outline and text colours, as well as the width, text size and outline thickness.

Does the saved PNG lose quality?

No. The bubble is drawn onto a canvas at the original pixel size and exported as a PNG, so it is saved at full resolution regardless of how the preview is scaled down to fit your screen.
