Draw with a mouse, pen or finger. Transparent PNG — drop it onto a PDF, Word or Excel document. Nothing is uploaded.

Draw a handwritten signature right in your browser and save it as a transparent PNG image. Sign with a mouse, stylus/pen or finger and your strokes become a signature image instantly. Choose the ink color (black, blue, red or any color) and line thickness, undo just the last stroke if you slip, or clear everything and start again. The output is a transparent PNG, so you can place it directly onto a PDF signature field, contract or form, a Word document, or an Excel invoice or quotation. Turn on "Trim margins" and the empty transparent space around the signature is cropped automatically, giving you a tightly fitted image that's easy to position. The ink color, thickness and trim option are remembered next time, while the signature itself is never stored. No printing and scanning a paper signature, no photographing and cropping. The signature you draw and the image you export are never uploaded or stored (only the style options are kept in your browser). Everything runs locally in your browser.

How to use

  1. Pick an ink color and thickness, then sign inside the box with a mouse, pen or finger.
  2. Made a mistake? Use "Undo" to remove the last stroke (or "Clear" to start over).
  3. Click "Download PNG" and paste the image onto your PDF signature field, Word or Excel document.

FAQ

Where can I use the signature image?

It's a transparent PNG, so you can place it directly onto a PDF signature field, contract or form, a Word document, or an invoice or quotation made in Excel. Because it's an image you can resize it and adjust the position after pasting.

Can I sign with a finger or stylus on a phone or tablet?

Yes. On phones and tablets you can sign with a finger or a stylus; on a computer use a mouse or pen tablet. Scrolling and zooming are suppressed while you draw, so you can sign slowly and carefully.

Will there be a lot of empty space around the signature?

If you keep "Trim margins" on, the export automatically crops the empty transparent space around your signature, producing an image sized tightly to the signature — handy when you need to fit it into a fixed box on a document.

Is the signature uploaded? Is it safe?

No upload. The signature you draw and the exported PNG are processed entirely in your browser and never sent to a server. Only the style options (color, thickness and trim) are saved; the signature itself is not.
