Extract PSD Layers Online

Loading sample layers…

Extracts each layer’s saved pixels, with its opacity and basic raster mask. Shadows, outlines, blending, clipping, group/vector masks and feathering are not recreated. Check the preview and warnings before saving. This does not render Photoshop compositions.

Limits: 512 layers, 24 million pixels per image, 200 million layer/mask pixels total. Maximum ZIP output: 100 MB. PSB, CMYK and 16/32-bit files are not supported. Hidden layers can be selected explicitly; layer images are exported separately.

Need images from a supplied PSD without installing Photoshop? Open an RGB 8-bit PSD, inspect its saved layer images and select the ones you need. Export individual transparent PNGs or a ZIP with group folders. Keep the original canvas size and position, or trim transparent margins. All processing stays on your device.

How to use

  1. Choose or drop an RGB 8-bit PSD. The initial sample demonstrates groups, transparency and hidden layers.
  2. Select a layer to inspect it. Read any warning about effects or masks that are not reproduced.
  3. Select the layers to export and choose whether to keep the document canvas or trim transparent margins.
  4. Save the current PNG or export the selected layers in a ZIP. Hidden layers can also be selected explicitly.

FAQ

Will each PNG match Photoshop’s composed image?

This extracts saved layer pixels, not the final Photoshop composition. Layer and parent opacity and a basic raster mask are applied. Shadows, outlines, clipping, blending, group/vector masks, feathering and adjustments are not recreated. Affected layers carry a warning.

Does it need the fonts used in a text layer?

No fonts are required when the PSD contains a saved bitmap for that text layer. The tool exports those pixels and does not edit or rerender the text. A layer without saved pixels cannot be exported.

Which PSD files are supported?

RGB 8-bit PSD files up to 120 MB, 512 layers and 200 million total layer/mask pixels. Each image is limited to 8192 pixels per side and 24 million pixels. ZIP output is limited to 100 MB. PSB, CMYK and 16/32-bit images are not supported.

Are my PSD files uploaded?

No. PSD reading, previews, masks and PNG/ZIP creation run locally. File contents and layer names are not saved in browser settings.
