A template maker for doujinshi (self-published book) and zine covers. Pick a book size — B5 (182×257mm), A5 (148×210mm), B6 (128×182mm), A6 / bunko (105×148mm) or A4 — and choose a full wrap layout (back cover + spine + front cover) or front cover only. For the wrap layout, type the body page count and the paper thickness (mm per sheet) and the spine width is computed automatically as (page count ÷ 2) × thickness, so the front, spine and back panels are laid out at the correct proportions. Add cover art that covers just the front panel or the whole spread, and place the title, circle name and author at the top, center or bottom. The title can be printed vertically on the spine. Guides show the trim line, the spine fold lines and a 3mm bleed, so it works as a stand-in for a printer's submission template. You can set the background and text colors. Export the finished cover with Save PNG at true size (about 300 DPI) to refine in Clip Studio Paint or Photoshop, or as the base for your print submission. Your art and text are never sent to a server — everything runs in your browser (only settings like size, colors and page count are stored on your device for next time and can be cleared with Reset).

How to use

  1. Pick a book size and wrap vs front-only (for wrap, enter page count and paper thickness so the spine width is computed).
  2. Add your art, then type the title, circle name and author and set their position.
  3. Check the trim and spine-fold guides, then press Save PNG to export.

FAQ

How is the spine width determined?

The spine width is computed automatically from the body page count and the paper thickness, as (page count ÷ 2) × thickness (mm per sheet). For example 40 body pages at 0.09mm gives a spine of about 1.8mm. Paper thickness depends on the body stock, so enter the per-sheet value from your printer's paper chart. The front-cover-only layout does not use a spine.

Which book sizes are supported?

B5 (182×257mm), A5 (148×210mm), B6 (128×182mm), A6 / bunko (105×148mm) and A4 (210×297mm). Manga is usually B5 or A5; novels are often bunko (A6) or A5. Each is drawn at the finished trim size with a bleed (3mm by default) added around the outside.

Can I use it as a printer's submission template?

Yes, as a base. It shows the trim line, spine fold lines and a 3mm bleed as guides and exports a true-size PNG (about 300 DPI). Load it into Clip Studio Paint or Photoshop to finish your art and text, then fit it to your printer's required template. Final bleed, resolution and color (CMYK) adjustments should follow your printer's specs.

Is my art or title uploaded?

No. Your art, title, circle name and other input are never sent to a server — everything is processed inside your browser, and the exported PNG is saved only to your device. Only settings like book size, colors and page count are stored locally for next time and can be cleared with Reset.
