A maker for the banner image (channel art) that appears across the top of your YouTube channel. The output is fixed to the recommended upload size of 2560×1440px. A YouTube banner shows a different amount on each device — desktop shows a wide strip (full width × 423), TV shows the whole image, and phones show only a central portion. The trick is to keep your text and logo inside the central 1546×423px safe area that is guaranteed to show on every device; place them outside it and your channel name gets cropped on mobile (the usual cause of a banner that 'doesn't fit'). This tool overlays that safe area as a dashed guide, plus the desktop-visible strip, so you can position everything where it won't be cut. Type your channel name (heading) and an optional caption line, then set the text position (top, center, bottom), alignment (left, center, right) and font (sans or serif); text is always auto-placed and shrunk to stay inside the safe area. The background can be a plain color or an image that fits (cover) to fill the banner, and when art is present you can lay a soft shaded band behind the text for readability. Add an accent-colored underline beneath the heading if you like. When you're done, press Save PNG to export the 2560×1440 image (the guide lines are not included in the export) and upload it from YouTube Studio → Customization → Branding → Banner image. Your image and text are never sent to a server — everything runs in your browser (only settings like position and colors are stored on your device for next time and can be cleared with Reset).

How to use

  1. Type your channel name (heading) and an optional caption, then set position, alignment, font and colors.
  2. Pick a plain color or a background image and check that your text sits inside the dashed safe area.
  3. Press Save PNG to export 2560×1440 and upload it from YouTube Studio's Banner image.

FAQ

What size is a YouTube banner (channel art)?

The recommended upload size is 2560×1440px (16:9), and this tool fixes the output to that exact size. However, only the central 1546×423px is guaranteed to show on every device, so keep your text and logo inside that safe area.

Why does my banner text get cropped on mobile?

A YouTube banner shows a different region on each device, and phones display only the central 1546×423px. Text near the edges that you can see on desktop or TV is cut off on mobile. This tool overlays that all-devices safe area as a dashed guide, so if you keep your text inside it, nothing gets cropped.

Are the safe area guide lines included in the exported image?

No. The dashed safe area box and its label are only shown in the preview to help you position your content. The 2560×1440 PNG you export with Save PNG contains no guide lines, so you can upload it to YouTube as-is.

Can I use my own image, and is it uploaded?

Yes. Use Add background image (drop or paste also works) and the picture fits (cover) to fill the whole banner. Your image, heading and caption are never sent to a server — everything is processed inside your browser (only settings like position and colors are stored locally for next time and can be cleared with Reset).
