Word cloud

processed in your browser · never uploaded

Paste survey free-text, reviews, meeting notes, an article or a list of keywords and this generator builds a word cloud (tag cloud) — the more often a word appears, the larger it is drawn — then exports it as a single PNG. Many word cloud sites ask you to create an account or upload a file; this tool never sends your text to a server and does all the counting and drawing inside your browser. There are two split modes. 'Auto' breaks the text into words on spaces and punctuation, which suits English text or a keyword list you've already separated with spaces, commas or line breaks. 'One per line' treats each line as a single item, and if you add a number at the end of a line it's used as that word's weight (count) — handy for entering your own words or multi-word phrases exactly (because everything runs in the browser, it does not run a morphological analyzer, so for languages without spaces, separate your words with line breaks or commas first). You can remove common stopwords (English articles, etc.), cap how many words are drawn, set the minimum and maximum font size, pick a font, choose a color palette (several presets or a single color), rotate some words vertically, set the canvas width and height, and make the background transparent or a solid color. Press 'Shuffle' to reshuffle the colors and layout for a different look. When you're happy, press Save PNG to drop the cloud straight into a slide, report, social post or blog header. Your text is never uploaded — everything is processed in your browser (only display settings like font and colors are stored on your device for next time and can be cleared with Reset).

How to use

  1. Paste your text or a list of keywords and pick a split mode (auto / one per line).
  2. Tune the max words, text size, colors, rotation and background, and optionally remove stopwords.
  3. Press Save PNG and drop the cloud into a slide, report or social post.

FAQ

Is it free, and do I need to sign up or install anything?

It's free and needs no account or install. Paste your text, choose your settings and press Save PNG. Your text is never sent to a server — everything is processed inside your browser.

Can I control word sizes or remove common words?

Yes. In 'one per line' mode, add a number at the end of a line to set that word's weight (count) so it's drawn bigger. Turn on 'remove stopwords' to drop very common words (English the/and, etc.) from the count, and cap how many words are drawn with the max words setting.

Can I enter multi-word phrases instead of single words?

Yes. Use 'one per line' mode and put each phrase on its own line — the whole line is kept as one item. This is also the reliable way to feed in words for languages without spaces, since the tool counts what you give it rather than splitting sentences itself.

Where can I use the image, and can the background be transparent?

The exported PNG can go into slides, reports, social posts or blog headers. Set the background to 'transparent' to export everything except the words as transparent, so you can layer it over any background, or choose 'solid color' to fill it with a color of your choice.
