White A4 PNG at print size — drop it into Word, print it on a wrapper, or share it. Nothing is uploaded.

Make a Japanese noshi gift-wrapper (noshigami) on A4 and download it as an image. Enter the title written above the cords (omotegaki) — choose from presets such as 御祝 (congratulations), 寿, 内祝 (return gift), 御中元 / 御歳暮 (seasonal gifts), 快気祝, 御霊前 / 御仏前 (condolence) and more, or type your own — and add one name per line (multiple lines are arranged right-to-left for joint names). The mizuhiki cords are drawn for you: pick the knot (bow/chou-musubi for repeatable celebrations, or tied/musubi-kiri and awaji for once-only occasions), the color (red-white, gold-silver, black-white, twin-silver, yellow-white), and the number of strands (3/5/7). The noshi decoration (the folded paper mark) can be turned on for celebrations and off for condolences. Choose the typeface (serif/Mincho or sans/Gothic), the paper (A4/B4/A5) and resolution (150 or 300 DPI); the title and names are set in traditional vertical writing. These style choices are remembered next time, while the text you enter is never stored. The output is a white-background PNG, so you can paste it into a Word document, print it as a wrapper at home or a shop, or share it as a file — and regenerate as many as you like by swapping the title and names. Nothing you type is sent to a server or stored (only the style options are kept in your browser). Everything runs locally.

How to use

  1. Pick or type the title (omotegaki, e.g. 御祝), then add one name per line (multiple lines for joint names).
  2. Choose the knot, mizuhiki color and strands, the noshi mark, typeface and paper, and check the preview.
  3. Click "Download PNG" and paste it into Word or print it as a gift wrapper.

FAQ

What is a noshi / noshigami?

Noshigami is the decorative paper placed over a Japanese gift, showing the occasion (the title, or omotegaki) above the mizuhiki cords and the giver's name below. This tool draws the cords and the small noshi mark for you, so you only enter the title and names.

Which knot and color should I pick?

A bow (chou-musubi) is for occasions that may happily repeat (births, seasonal gifts); a tied or awaji knot is for once-only occasions (weddings, recovery, condolences). Use red-white or gold-silver for celebrations and black-white, twin-silver or yellow-white for condolences, where you also turn the noshi mark off. Five strands is the most common.

Can I make a title-only or name-only wrapper?

Yes. Leave the name field empty for a title-only noshi, or keep the title and just add names. Multiple name lines are arranged right-to-left for joint names.

Is the text I enter uploaded? How do I print it?

No upload. The title and names are processed entirely in your browser and never sent to a server; only the style options are saved. The output is a white-background PNG, so you can paste it into Word, print it at A4 to use as a wrapper, or share it as a file.
