Generated meta tags

Everything runs in your browser — your text and URLs are never uploaded. Special characters are escaped automatically.

Before you publish a blog post or website, this tool builds all the meta tags you need to control how the page looks in search results and on social media — just fill in a form. Enter a title, description, canonical URL, site name and an OG image URL, and it assembles the core SEO tags (`<title>`, `<meta name="description">`, `<link rel="canonical">`) together with Open Graph tags used by Facebook and others (`og:title`, `og:description`, `og:image`, `og:url`, `og:type`, `og:site_name`, `og:locale`) and Twitter Card tags for X / Twitter (`twitter:card`, `twitter:title`, `twitter:description`, `twitter:image`), all formatted to copy straight into your `<head>`. Special characters (`<`, `>`, `"`, `&`) are escaped automatically so titles with quotes or symbols stay valid HTML. A Google-style search snippet preview and a social-card preview update live as you type, so you can see whether your title gets truncated or your image is set before you ship. Empty fields are simply omitted from the output. If you also need the OG image itself, create one at a standard size with our OG Image Maker (og-image) and paste its URL here to finish the set. Everything runs in your browser — your text, URLs and image URLs are never uploaded, stored, or sent to a server, so even a URL for an unpublished or internal page stays on your device.

How to use

  1. Fill in the title, description, URL, site name and OG image URL in the form on the left.
  2. Pick the Open Graph type (website / article) and the Twitter Card style if you need them.
  3. The generated meta tags appear instantly on the right. Click "Copy" to paste them into your `<head>`, and check the search and social previews for how it will look.

FAQ

Are my title and URL uploaded anywhere?

No. Tag building and previews run entirely in your browser. The text, URLs and image URLs you enter are never uploaded, stored, or sent to a server — even a URL for an unpublished page stays on your device.

Which tags does it generate?

Core SEO tags (`<title>`, `<meta name="description">`, `<link rel="canonical">`), Open Graph tags used by Facebook and others (`og:title`, `og:description`, `og:image`, `og:url`, `og:type`, `og:site_name`, `og:locale`), and Twitter Card tags for X / Twitter (`twitter:card`, `twitter:title`, `twitter:description`, `twitter:image`). Fields you leave blank are omitted from the output.

Can I create the OG image with this tool?

This tool focuses on generating the meta tags (text). For the image itself, create one at a standard size (such as 1200×630) with our OG Image Maker (og-image), publish it, and paste its URL into the OG image field. Use tag generation and image creation together.

How long should the title and description be?

As a rough guide, search engines show roughly the first ~60 characters of a title and ~120–160 characters of a description, truncating the rest with an ellipsis. Use the Google-style preview on the right to check nothing is cut off (actual display can vary at the search engine's discretion).

Is it safe to use titles with quotes or symbols?

Yes. Special characters such as `<`, `>`, `"` and `&` are escaped automatically inside attribute values so the output stays valid HTML. You can paste the result straight into your `<head>` even with quotes or symbols in the title or description.
