Enter your network name to generate a WiFi QR code.
Let guests join your WiFi by scanning a QR code instead of typing a long password — completely free. Enter your network name (SSID), security type (WPA/WPA2/WPA3, WEP, or none) and password, and the preview updates instantly. Point an iPhone (iOS 11+ stock camera) or Android camera at the code and it offers a one-tap connection — no more reading out complex passwords. Hidden (non-broadcast) SSIDs are supported too. Export as SVG (vector), which stays razor-sharp at any print size for table tents, reception cards, posters and shop signage, or as PNG (raster) for slides and the web. Most online WiFi QR generators send your SSID and password to a server to render the image, but this tool performs the entire encoding (including Reed-Solomon error correction and mask selection) inside your browser. Your WiFi password — sensitive by nature — is never uploaded, stored or sent to a server. The QR follows the standard WiFi format (`WIFI:T:…;S:…;P:…;;`), so it scans straight from the stock camera on major phones without any extra app.
How to use
- Enter your network name (SSID) and pick the security type (usually WPA/WPA2/WPA3). Use "Sample" to try an example.
- Type your WiFi password. Only tick "Hidden network" if your SSID isn't broadcast. The preview updates instantly.
- Click "Download PNG" or "Download SVG" to save it. Your SSID and password are never sent anywhere.
FAQ
Are my SSID and password sent to a server?
No. The whole WiFi QR generation — encoding, error correction and mask selection — runs in your browser with JavaScript. Your SSID and password are never uploaded, stored, or sent to a server, so it's safe to encode even a sensitive WiFi password.
How does scanning the code connect me?
Point an iPhone (iOS 11+) stock camera or an Android camera at the code and you'll get a "Join this network?" prompt — tap it to connect. The code uses the standard WiFi QR format (WIFI:T:…;S:…;P:…;;), so no special app is needed. Some older devices may not support this.
Which security type (WPA / WEP / None) should I choose?
Almost all modern home, café and office routers use WPA2 or WPA3, so "WPA/WPA2/WPA3" is the right choice in nearly all cases. Pick WEP only if your network still uses that older scheme. For an open network with no password, choose "None (open)" and the password field is no longer needed.
Can I use it for guest WiFi at a café or office?
Yes — that's the most common use. Create a QR from your guest SSID and password, export it as SVG, and print it on table tents, reception cards or shop signage. Guests connect by pointing their camera at it, with no password to read out. SVG stays crisp at any size, so it looks sharp even when printed large.
When should I tick "Hidden network"?
Only when your router is set to a hidden (non-broadcast) SSID. For normal WiFi where the network name is visible, leave it unticked. Ticking it for a non-hidden network can make some devices fail to connect.
When should I use PNG vs SVG?
SVG is a vector format, so it stays perfectly crisp at any size — ideal for printed business cards, table tents, posters and reception signage. PNG is a ready-to-use image, best for slides, social posts and web pages. For PNG, raising the module size (px) gives you a higher-resolution file.
