Resize avatars, profile pictures, or blog photos to an exact pixel size or by percentage, right in your browser. Lock the aspect ratio to keep proportions, or unlock it for any width and height, and check the result dimensions before you save. Nothing is uploaded — every resize happens locally, so you can scale an image without sending it to a server.

How to use

  1. Drop an image in, click to choose a file, or paste an image (Ctrl/Cmd + V).
  2. Pick the unit (Pixels or Percent) and enter a width and height. With aspect-ratio lock on, changing one value recalculates the other to keep proportions.
  3. Check the result dimensions in the preview, then click Download PNG to save. The original is never sent anywhere.

FAQ

Are my images uploaded to a server?

No. The resize runs entirely in your browser using the Canvas API. Your image is never uploaded, stored, or sent anywhere — it is processed only on your device.

Can I keep the aspect ratio while resizing?

Yes. Turn on aspect-ratio lock and changing the width or height automatically recalculates the other side to preserve proportions. Turn it off to set width and height independently.

Can I resize by percentage instead of pixels?

Yes. Choose Percent as the unit and scale the image by a ratio of its original size (for example 50%). It's handy when you want to shrink or enlarge without knowing the exact pixel dimensions.

Will enlarging an image reduce its quality?

Scaling above the original size interpolates pixels, so the result looks softer. Shrinking generally stays sharp. Avoid upscaling far beyond the source resolution.

What format does it save in? Can I get a JPG?

Downloads are PNG, a lossless format that preserves transparency without quality loss. If you need a JPG or another format, run the result through the convert tool.

Does it work on phones?

Yes. It runs entirely in the browser, so you can load, resize, and save an image on a phone or tablet just like on a desktop.
