Tasks — one per line

Name, start, end [, progress%] · end can be a date or a duration like +7 · # starts a comment

Chart

Make a Gantt chart for free, without hunting for a spreadsheet template or wiring up formulas. Type your tasks as "name, start, end", one per line, and a horizontal schedule bar chart is drawn instantly. The end can be a date like "2026-06-30" or a duration like "+7" (a number of days counting the start day), and an optional fourth field such as "60%" fills the bar with a progress shade. Lines that begin with "#" are treated as comments. As the timeline grows the tick marks switch automatically from days to weeks to months, and you can show month labels, weekend shading and a red "today" line. The bar color changes with one click. When you're done, click "Download PNG" to save the chart, or "Copy image" to put it on your clipboard and paste it straight into a slide deck, report or document. The task names and dates you type are processed entirely in your browser with JavaScript and are never uploaded, stored, or sent to a server, so there's nothing to install and no sign-up — safe for internal project plans or personal schedules. If you'd rather paste a table, try the Markdown Table Generator; to plot a function, try the Function Graph Plotter.

    How to use

    1. Type your tasks as "name, start, end", one per line (e.g. Design, 2026-06-01, +7, 60%). The end can be a date or a duration like +7.
    2. Optionally add a chart title and toggle the bar color, weekend shading, today line and grid.
    3. The Gantt chart is drawn live on the right. Lines with a progress % show the progress shaded inside the bar.
    4. Click "Download PNG" to save it, or "Copy image" to paste it into a slide deck or report. Everything stays in your browser.

    FAQ

What format do I type tasks in?

One task per line as comma-separated "name, start, end". The end can be a date like "2026-06-30" or a duration like "+7" (days from the start). Add a fourth field such as "60%" to show progress in the bar, and start a line with "#" to make it a comment. The Sample button loads an example.

How do I save or use the Gantt chart?

Click "Download PNG" to save it as an image file, or "Copy image" to copy it to your clipboard and paste it directly into PowerPoint, Word, or a report.

Can it show progress, weekends and today?

Yes. Add a progress % as the fourth field on a task line to shade progress inside the bar. The toolbar toggles weekend shading, a red today line, and the grid. As the timeline gets longer the ticks switch automatically from days to weeks to months.

Do I need Excel or an install?

No. It runs entirely in your browser — no template download, no app to install, no sign-up. The task names and dates you type are processed on your device with JavaScript and are never uploaded, stored, or sent to a server.

Can I enter a duration instead of an end date?

Yes. Put "+7" in the end field and the task runs for 7 days counting the start day ("7", "7d" and "7 days" also work). If you know the exact date, just write the end date like "2026-06-30".
