“snug” = a perfect/inner sleeve; “room” = looser, good for double-sleeving over an inner one.
When you want to protect a trading card or a K-pop photocard, sleeve shopping gets confusing fast: "standard", "perfect", "inner", "character", "over" — the size names are all different, and it is hard to tell which one actually fits your card. This finder clears that up. Pick your card from presets — Standard (Pokémon, MTG, Duel Masters, One Piece, etc. ≈63×88mm), Small/Japanese (Yu-Gi-Oh!, Vanguard, etc. ≈59×86mm), or K-pop photocard (≈55×85mm) — or enter the width × height you measured in millimeters. A chart of common sleeve inner sizes, grouped into Standard, Small and Photocard families, is then labeled against your card: snug (a perfect/inner sleeve that hugs the card), room (a little looser — good as an over-sleeve on top of an inner one for double-sleeving), or too small (won't fit). Each row also shows the inner size in mm, the typical use (which layer), and where to find it (100-yen shops / brands), so you can pair a snug first sleeve with a roomier over-sleeve. All sizes are general guidelines and vary by maker and product by a few millimeters; K-pop photocards in particular vary a lot (roughly 53–56 × 84–86mm), so always check each product's stated inner size and your card's real measurement before buying. Nothing you enter is sent to a server — everything runs entirely inside your browser.
How to use
- Pick your card: Standard (Pokémon etc.), Small (Yu-Gi-Oh! etc.), or K-pop photocard. If it isn't listed, choose Custom and enter the width × height in mm.
- In the chart, each sleeve is labeled snug / room / too small for your card. Snug = a perfect/inner sleeve; room = looser, good as an over-sleeve on top.
- Use the inner size (mm), use, and where-to-buy columns to pair a first sleeve (snug) with an over-sleeve (room) for double-sleeving.
FAQ
Is the card size I enter sent to a server?
No. The fit check runs entirely inside your browser; nothing you pick or measure is uploaded, stored, or transmitted. It works fully locally.
What's the difference between "snug" and "room"?
"Snug" means an inner/perfect sleeve that hugs the card — use it on its own or as the innermost of a double sleeve. "Room" means a slightly looser size, ideal as an over-sleeve placed on top of a snug sleeve for double- or triple-sleeving. For the best protection, pair a snug sleeve with a roomy over-sleeve.
Which sleeve fits a K-pop photocard?
Official K-pop photocards are roughly 55×85mm but vary quite a bit. For that size, a Photocard-family snug sleeve (inner ≈57×87mm) hugs the card best; photocard sleeves are sold at 100-yen shops (Seria, Daiso) and specialty stores. Standard (Pokémon) sleeves are too big and fit loosely, so choose a photocard or inner sleeve if you want a tight fit.
Are Yu-Gi-Oh! and Pokémon sleeve sizes the same?
No. Pokémon, MTG and Duel Masters use the Standard size (≈63×88mm), while Yu-Gi-Oh! and Vanguard use the slightly smaller Small (Japanese) size (≈59×86mm). A Standard sleeve on a Small card leaves side play, so pick a Small-family sleeve if you want a tight fit.
How accurate are these sizes?
They are general guidelines for common market sleeves; inner sizes can vary by a few millimeters depending on maker, product, and batch. For the final decision, always compare the inner size (mm) printed on the package with your card's measured size.
